Module 1 – Anatomy and Physiology
This module provides a clear and concise overview of the key structures involved in maintaining a healthy ocular surface, including the cornea, conjunctiva, eyelids, and the lacrimal and meibomian glands. You’ll also learn about the tear film—what it is, how it works, and why it’s essential for eye health.
Module 2 – Dry Eye Disease
In this module, you’ll be introduced to Dry Eye Disease (DED), including its definition and the key insights from the DEWS III report. We’ll explore the prevalence of DED, its impact on patients’ quality of life, common causes and symptoms, and how DED is classified.
Module 3 – Blepharitis and MGD
This module introduces Blepharitis and its two main types—Anterior Blepharitis and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). You’ll learn to recognise their symptoms, understand their causes, and explore how these common eyelid conditions are closely linked to Dry Eye Disease.
Module 4 – Understanding the Hycosan® Range
This module provides an overview of the HYCOSAN® eye drop range, outlining typical patient profiles for each product and the key features and benefits they offer. You’ll also learn why preservative-free formulations matter and how HYCOSAN® fits into the Heat, Cleanse, Hydrate regime for effective dry eye management.
Module 5 – Understanding the Optase® Range
In this final module, you’ll discover how the OPTASE® range supports each step of the Heat, Cleanse, Hydrate regime in dry eye management. We’ll highlight the features and benefits of the products, outline typical patient profiles for each one, and leave you with key takeaways from the full series to support confident and effective recommendations.
