This International Ophthalmology Meeting was recorded in February 2022 and brings together three cornea experts from either side of the Atlantic. Professor Fiona Carley presents “An Update in Microbial Keratitis”, Dr Cynthia Matossian speaks on “Ocular Surface health and its implications for cataract surgery” and finally Ms Radhika Rampat speaks on the role of “AI in Cornea and refractive surgery”. Ms Laura Crawley chairs the meeting and joins the speakers to conclude the session with a panel discussion.

(s.5) Practitioners will appreciate the importance of a healthy ocular surface before embarking on cataract or refractive surgery and how a poor ocular surface may influence outcomes.
(s.5) Practitioners will have a greater understanding of the role that AI can play in diagnosing a variety of ocular conditions and will be able to advise their patients accordingly.
(s.7) Practitioners will be aware of how to assess the ocular surface prior to referring patients for cataract or refractive surgery.

Ms Laura Crawley is Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Western Eye Hospital, London.
Professor Fiona Carley is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and Medical Advisor to the Manchester CTS Eye Bank.
Dr Cynthia Matossian is an Ophthalmologist & Dry Eye Specialist and the Founder of Matossian Eye Associates in Pennington & Hamilton NJ and Doylestown in Bucks County, PA.
Ms Radhika Rampat is currently a Locum Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in the Corneo-plastic unit at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust, East Grinstead.
